Ever since I can remember, I have always had too much to say about racism. No matter how much you talk, it seems like there is always something left to say.

That’s exactly how it’s felt during my time as a student storyteller. I kept seeing and hearing of so many incredible people that I just wanted to have deep conversations about racism and hear about other people’s perspectives. Wanting to then share these conversations with you, I flipped through format after format from video to lifestream but none of them felt quite “right”. Two brains however do come up with better ideas than just one because during a conversation with Alicia Ashcroft, the idea of an anti-racism podcast was born.

Eye on EDI is an anti-racism podcast that unpacks equity, diversity and inclusion through educational conversations. While EDI refers to more than just racial equity, this podcast focusses on the racial aspects of equity, diversity, and inclusion. By connecting anti-racism work to personal experiences, we hope to showcase the many facets of racism and it’s impacts on daily life.

Whether you’re just getting started on your anti-racism journey or you’re a seasoned anti-racist, each episode’s engaging dialogue and thought provoking calls to action are bound to provide you with an opportunity to make change.
